George Clinton’s Atomic Dog

george clinton

George Clinton, the founding member of Parliament Funkadelic, has been touring for over 40 years. Parliament originated as a Doo-wop group that started out of his barber shop in Plainfield, New Jersey. George had to make a mad dash for an elevator, but we got a few food factoids from this funk father.

Considered one of the architects of funk with James Brown and Sly Stone, George Clinton was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997.  He has toured over the last four decades with various incarnations of Parliament, Funkadelic and the P-Funk Allstars and is still going strong.

When we get talking about food, George loves a hot dog of the streets of New York City.  While he does not consider himself much of a chef, he enjoys making fish and also loves to use his Jack Lalanne Power Juicer.

Be sure to check out George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic at the Wanne Music Festival on April 15th and also at this years New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. Please see his website for further tour information.
